Discover the secrets of champagne on The Insider’s Tour of Champagne

If you really want to get off the usual tourist trail and get a real insight into the hidden side of champagne, then you’ll love my private guided tours

Although you probably don't know it, there are almost 5,000 champagne makers. Another thing that you may not realise is that some of these 'unknown' champagnes are absolutely fabulous - almost as fascinating as the wonderful people who make them...but who are these people and how on earth do you find them and their sublime champagnes?

That's exactly what you'll discover when you join us on The Insider's Tour Of Champagne.

Tour-Testimonials-1We'll be visiting various parts of Champagne so that you can taste and understand for yourself the incredible diversity the region has to offer. Our aim is to give you all the knowledge and confidence you need to become an insider yourself. By the end of the day you'll understand why one champagne is different from another and which style suits your taste so that you can always be sure to find the one you want in future.

You'll learn the 4 things you need to know when ordering champagne in a restaurant or buying champagne in a shop, so that a whole new world of champagne will open up for you. Along the way you're sure to have a lot of fun as you meet and chat to the people who actually work in the vineyards and make the wines.

You're sure to taste some amazing champagnes too, at prices that you'll find equally delightful, should you wish to buy. The Insider's Tour Of Champagne is a day of fun and discovery that you'll remember for years and which will change the way you think of champagne in future.

A typical day starts at about 08.30 as we set off for our first visit – you’ll find that mid-morning is a great time to taste champagne because your palate is awake and receptive.

Our second appointment will be around 11.00 and then we’ll stop for a relaxed lunch at a local café before rounding off our tour with a visit to another champagne maker in the afternoon.

Throughout the day you’ll be driven in comfort and I will be at your side to unfold the story of champagne, to translate as and when needed and to point out anything and everything that is interesting along the way. In short you’ll get the absolute maximum out of your day.
